Job Description

At Wave Internal, we're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Data Management: Assist in the processing, reviewing, and reporting of financial information to support internal decision-making and facilitate invoicing, payments, and cash flow.
  • Bookkeeping and Reconciliation: Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
  • Accounts Receivable and Payroll: Create and manage accounts receivable invoices, assist with payroll processing, and ensure compliance with tax-related regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Previous Accounting Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably with Xero.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including management, colleagues, and clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to work with large volumes of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting Qualifications: Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or AAT, or working towards an accounting qualification.
  • Financial Knowledge: Good understanding of a finance function, from journals to stakeholder management.
