We are looking for dedicated individuals

We are seeking a minimum of 3 part-time Personal Care Assistants (Community-Based) to support our efforts in the community.

If you possess the ability to bring joy to others during home visits, a Personal Care Assistant role with Be Caring may be ideal for you. No formal qualifications are necessary, but the right attitude and values are essential. Each day presents unique challenges, and a proactive mindset is required.

Compensation: £12.00 per hour (drivers) & £11.50 per hour (walkers) (paid per shift, including travel time)

  • Mileage reimbursement: 45p per mile for drivers / 20p per mile for cyclists
  • Incentive programs: up to £300 for new starters, £300 for referrals, and an annual bonus of £300. £25 birthday gift voucher.

As a Personal Care Assistant with Be Caring, your schedule will align with our shift patterns, which include evening shifts and alternating weekends.

  • Evening shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (end time may vary based on public transport)

Your working pattern will be mutually agreed upon, establishing a 2-week rota that includes:

  • Alternating full weekends.
  • Evenings as scheduled.

Role Responsibilities

As a Personal Care Assistant in the community, you will:

  • Deliver personal care that maintains individuals' dignity.
  • Encourage independence through supportive approaches.
  • Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals, involving family and professionals as needed.
  • Connect individuals with community resources and local services.
  • Provide tailored care that respects individual choices and preferences.
  • Communicate effectively, documenting and sharing information with relevant parties in a timely manner.

Training and Development

We seek individuals who embody the values of Be Caring. No prior care experience is required, as we value transferable skills from various backgrounds. We will equip you with the necessary training to excel as a Personal Care Assistant.

Comprehensive training will cover:

  • Be Caring values, focusing on exceeding personal outcomes.
  • Respect, safeguarding, and promoting equality and diversity.
  • Confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Nutrition, hydration, and safe medication administration.
  • Safe moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sore management.
  • Infection control, health, and safety protocols.
  • Understanding learning disabilities, mental health, and capacity considerations.
