We are looking to recruit a minimum of 3 part-time Community Care Providers to support our efforts in the community.

If you possess the ability to bring happiness to individuals during home visits, then a role as a Community Care Provider with Be Caring may be ideal for you. While formal qualifications are not necessary, having the right values is essential. Each day will present unique challenges, and a proactive attitude is crucial.

Compensation: £12.00 per hour (drivers) & £11.50 per hour (walkers) (paid per shift, travel time included)

  • Mileage reimbursement: 45p per mile for drivers / 20p per mile for cyclists
  • Incentive programs: up to £300 for new starters, £300 for referrals, and an annual bonus of £300. £25 birthday gift voucher.

As a Community Care Provider for Be Caring, your working hours will align with our shift patterns, which include evening shifts and alternating weekends.

  • Evening shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (end time may vary based on public transport)

We will establish your working schedule, creating a 2-week rota that includes:

  • Alternating full weekends.
  • Evenings as agreed upon.

Role Responsibilities

As a Community Care Provider with Be Caring, you will need to demonstrate qualities such as patience, empathy, and effective communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personal care that upholds individuals' dignity.
  • Encouraging independence through supportive approaches.
  • Assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals, involving family and professionals as needed.
  • Connecting individuals to community resources and local services.
  • Providing personalized care that respects individual choices and control.
  • Maintaining clear communication, documenting, reporting, and sharing information appropriately.

Training and Development

We seek individuals who embody the values of Be Caring. No prior care experience is required, as we value transferable skills from various backgrounds.

Comprehensive training will cover:

  • Be Caring values and commitment to exceeding personal outcomes.
  • Respect, safeguarding, and promoting equality and diversity.
  • Confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Nutrition, hydration, and safe medication administration.
  • Safe moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sore prevention.
  • Infection control, health, and safety protocols.
  • Understanding learning disabilities, mental health, and capacity issues.
