Job Title: Business Analysis Manager

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled Business Analysis Manager to join our team. As a key member of our client services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients in the music and entertainment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain royalty accounts for clients, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Prepare, review, and complete royalty statements, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Facilitate the payment of royalties to artists and other recipients, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Research historical royalty payments to resolve client queries and provide accurate information.
  • Assist with other royalties projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Business Management:
  • Provide day-to-day bookkeeping and business management services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.
  • Assist with the handling of clients' financial and personal affairs, meeting their needs and expectations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Process sales invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Complete and file client VAT Returns and EC sales lists, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly, providing clear and concise communication to clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise directly with clients and suppliers to ensure timely completion and a professional approach.
  • Provide credit control services for client portfolios, ensuring timely payment and minimizing debt.
  • Prepare client cash flow reports and forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Tour accounting, including preparing reports for tour support, 360 commission, and other reports to mitigate withholding taxes.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Deal with financial paperwork and respond to HMRC queries, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Settle all client invoices and tax liabilities to meet deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Prepare UK Certificates of Residence, A1's, and international withholding tax forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • As a direct client-facing role, you will require a confident and professional approach to client servicing, providing exceptional support and guidance.
  • Knowledge of Payroll and Pensions is required, as you will need to liaise with clients on a monthly basis to ascertain changes needed.
Your Experience:
  • Prior experience working within an environment servicing music and entertainment clients is essential.
  • Previous experience with software packages, including QuickBooks and Xero, is a bonus.
  • AAT qualified and/or suitable/relevant bookkeeping/business management experience is required.
  • Knowledge of VAT rules, Accounts, Tax, Payroll, and Royalties is desirable.
  • Royalties analysis and strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Highly organized and an excellent self-starter, you will demonstrate initiative while also being a team player who supports other members of the team.
  • Confident approach to client communications and a clear understanding of what and when to flag issues or gather further information are required.
