Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to join our team at WSH Group. As a Senior Chef, you will play a key role in leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Production: Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring that all dishes meet the company's standards and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, kitchen assistants, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Special Events: Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, always following health and safety regulations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support the Head Chef in administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records of food costs and inventory.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to continuously enhance the menu offerings and overall dining experience.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
  • Culinary Degree: Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Team Player: Fun and enthusiastic, with excellent organization skills, and a team player who enjoys succeeding as a team.
