The Role

We're seeking a UX Director to lead high-profile projects and set direction for others to follow. As a UX Director at Bernadette, you'll be a practitioner of strategic thinking, a highly experienced designer and researcher, and have excellent client service skills. You'll work closely with cross-discipline teams, lead multiple projects simultaneously, and be responsible for driving outcomes and delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and more junior members of the team
  • Design project approaches and ways of working, creating proposals for new projects to share with clients
  • Evangelise the importance of user-centred design, mobile-first and responsive design, accessibility, and inclusive design
  • Liaise with client stakeholders, plan, prepare, and host client-facing workshops
  • Conduct remote moderated and unmoderated user testing
  • Work collaboratively with Strategy, Research, UI Design, Dev, and client stakeholders
Requirements
  • Experience leading projects and more junior members of the team
  • Experience leading multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience designing project approaches and ways of working, creating proposals for new projects to share with clients
  • Strong understanding of and ability to articulate and implement UX strategy
  • Great presentation skills with the ability to present UX recommendations in a concise, compelling, and clear way
  • Experience working on and presenting in pitches
