Lead Economist - Economic Impact Consulting

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Economist to join its consulting directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality economic analysis and consulting projects to clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting robust and rigorous economic analysis to inform business decisions and policy recommendations.
  • Managing consulting projects, including leading communication with clients and coordinating internal resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Developing and implementing econometric models to analyze complex economic data and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver research projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and applying this knowledge to improve the quality of our analysis and consulting services.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of economic theory and its application to real-world problems.
  • Experience with econometric modeling techniques, including difference-in-difference modeling and panel regressions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex economic concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality consulting projects and working effectively in a team environment.
