As a key member of the JOB SWITCH LTD team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality recycling service at our Civic Amenity and Recycling Centres. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, environmental standards, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Site Operations: Ensure the safe and effective operation of the Civic Amenity and Recycling Centre, including the promotion of recycling to all site users.
- Cash Handling: Manage cash transactions at skip sites, including the issue of receipts and deposit of monies to a secure location.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to the public, including assistance with tipping and directions for site users.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the site, including the site office and facilities.
- Record Keeping: Complete all associated records and paperwork, including site records and issue of Controlled Waste transfer notes.
- Security: Ensure the site is opened and closed as required, and the alarm system is activated accordingly.
- Reporting: Report any damages, loss, or repairs to the designated officer to ensure the continued safe running of the site.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A background in waste management or a related field is an asset.
