Position Overview

This role is a fixed-term maternity cover position based within a prominent health organization, with responsibilities extending across multiple healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will engage in service development across various sites, dedicating a significant portion of their clinical time to enhancing service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The role entails collaboration with diverse multi-disciplinary teams, requiring an innovative and proactive approach to Clinical Psychology. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to the advancement of Psychological Medicine, focusing on the needs of older individuals in crisis.

Core Duties

Although the service operates regionally, the selected candidate will be employed by a leading NHS Foundation Trust, working closely with hospital teams. Office accommodations will be provided within the Psychological Medicine and Liaison Psychiatry departments.

Our Psychological Medicine Service comprises a dedicated team of Clinical Psychologists, each specializing in various medical fields and therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to CBT, CAT, IPT, ACT, CFT, and EMDR. This presents numerous opportunities for professional development through supervised practice.
