Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operations at our Mercedes Benz Truck and Van Fareham location. In this pivotal role, you will manage a dynamic team of technicians, ensuring efficiency and quality in our service operations. This full-time, permanent position reports directly to the Aftersales Manager and offers a wealth of opportunities for professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of qualified and apprentice technicians.
  • Allocate work orders and manage technician schedules effectively.
  • Conduct regular quality assessments to ensure adherence to brand standards.
  • Enhance service profitability through effective time management and upselling techniques.
  • Maintain and update workshop technical solutions, including service booking databases.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients both in-person and over the phone.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Advisor team as necessary.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as a Workshop Controller, preferably within a franchised dealership environment. Strong leadership abilities, excellent customer service skills, and proficient problem-solving capabilities are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with eVHC software and intermediate IT skills will be advantageous.
