With over two decades of expertise in executing projects across various sectors, including governmental bodies, educational institutions, correctional facilities, and healthcare organizations, Foresight Search Ltd has a proven track record in delivering tailored structured cabling solutions in diverse and challenging environments.


Role Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Engineer - Structured Cabling with substantial experience (5 years +) to oversee projects in the Bristol and South Wales area.

This is a permanent position that offers the chance to join a dedicated team providing exceptional cabling infrastructure services across multiple settings.

The long-term vision for this role includes mentoring an individual aspiring to transition into project management.

Responsibilities include:
  • Organizing and managing engineering personnel on-site for the installation of structured cabling (Cat5/6)
  • Leading projects as the primary on-site representative
  • Ensuring the quality of all assigned installations.
  • Compiling timely customer and internal project reports.
  • Collaborating with construction project teams to comprehend physical design requirements, including layout, project phasing, and any new or additional specifications.
  • Managing labor directly assigned to the project(s) in accordance with employee expectations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Participating in training programs provided by the company to achieve necessary accreditations and qualifications for fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Representing the company professionally, safeguarding its assets and reputation.

Candidate Profile:
Experience in structured cabling site management - 5 years +

  • Please note that this role focuses on internal fit-out cabling and does not involve external fiber or civil works.
  • ECS/CSCS certification is advantageous.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification is desirable.
