Job Summary

This role focuses on running the AP and AR function end to end, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set invoices for weekly payment run, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining up-to-date ledgers with no overdue payments.
  • Code invoices to correct accounting system line and cost centre, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Work with the leadership team to ensure all invoices are approved before payment, maintaining a high level of financial control.
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and GRNs as appropriate, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Resolve supplier invoice queries when required, providing excellent customer service.
  • Run weekly ledger analysis and reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Complete monthly statement reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Manage the AR function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments.
Requirements
  • Experienced with solid accounts payable and receivable knowledge, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Previous experience of working with a computerised ledger system, preferably Xero.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Confident and clear communicator with all other teams and external suppliers.
  • Proven experience working in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
