Role Expectations: We are seeking a sports enthusiast eager to dive into the realm of sports trading. As a sports trader, you will thrive in a dynamic environment that enhances your sports acumen. The UK trading team will take charge of the expert trading for core non-US sports, including Soccer, Tennis, European Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby Union, and more. Continuous collaboration with our Las Vegas trading team will ensure high levels of expert support for traditional US sports.

In the role of a Sports Trading Graduate, you will report to a Team Leader based on your sports expertise. Your responsibilities will encompass trading across all sports under the UK jurisdiction while providing assistance to the US trading teams. Your contributions will directly influence revenue generation and profitability, with a strong emphasis on in-depth analysis, collaboration with development teams, and engagement with senior management to refine internal systems, processes, and models.

Work Schedule: Our shifts are designed to accommodate regular sports events and major competitions, typically resulting in peak activity during evenings and weekends. This role offers the chance to apply your sports knowledge and mathematical skills while advancing your career in the betting and gaming sector.

Growth Opportunities:

  • Utilize your sports expertise to evaluate and price all events and markets relevant to the UK, leveraging our technology platform for critical trading decisions.
  • Employ your analytical skills to prioritize and effectively resolve issues while managing risk.
  • Conduct analyses to enhance business profitability, operational processes, and offerings.
  • Present analytical findings to leadership regarding the identification and evaluation of trading opportunities, pricing strategies, model development, and customer profiling.
  • Collaborate with trading teams in both the UK and US to assist in developing models, systems, and strategies that improve product offerings and customer experiences.
  • Foster an environment that encourages innovative approaches and contributes to the strategic direction and growth of our products.
  • Support reporting requirements as directed by the management team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Achieved Grade A or B in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Possess excellent sports knowledge combined with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills and systems, embracing changes in trading models and technologies.
  • Highly motivated, capable of working independently or collaboratively, and building effective relationships with peers and management.
  • Strong decision-making skills, able to make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Innovative and proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing) in relevant fields such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, or Sports Science.
