Land Surveyor Position

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We're seeking a Land Surveyor to join our team in the Chipping Warden Area. The successful candidate will support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network, ensuring accurate reporting and validation of construction stages. Key responsibilities include undertaking land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys using specialist equipment and technology, analyzing data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and GIS programs. The ideal candidate will also prepare survey drawings, present data to clients, and write reports. Additionally, they will coordinate with Site Engineers to prioritize project implementation, changes to plans, and deviations, as well as coordinate with consultants for inspection and approval. The role requires setting out and as-built surveys, carrying out topographical and engineering surveys, managing the registration and post-processing of point cloud data, and conducting GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise leveling. Experience with drones for earthwork measures is also desirable. The successful candidate will possess a HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent, and have experience in a similar role with similar values. They will also have expertise in Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers, excellent AutoCAD skills, and proficiency in using survey software like Trimble Business Center.
