Exciting Opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Lead to join a prominent and award-winning organization in the media and entertainment sector.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will oversee the Sourcing function, collaborating closely with the team to ensure efficient daily operations and enhance expenditure across the organization.
The Sourcing function primarily concentrates on Indirect expenditures, including IT hardware and software, licenses, publishing activities, and facility-related services. Additionally, support may be required for some Direct expenditures.
You will engage with internal stakeholders throughout the organization, including department leaders and budget managers. Your main objectives will be to optimize spending and manage supplier relationships.
Specific Duties Include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Sourcing team.
- Identifying and implementing strategies for cost reduction and improved service performance.
- Managing the supplier onboarding process to ensure the selection of the most suitable and competitive suppliers.
- Reviewing and assisting with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization’s sourcing initiatives.
- Regularly assessing procedures and processes to ensure control, compliance, and efficiency within the Sourcing function.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to ascertain their product and service requirements.
- Assisting with high-value contract renewals, including the evaluation of commercial terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proven experience and a successful track record in leading effective sourcing initiatives, ideally with experience in managing or leading a team.
- Comprehensive sourcing experience, particularly in indirect sourcing.
- CIPS qualification is preferred.
- Strong negotiation abilities, with the capacity to challenge costs when necessary.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to managing requests and tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience as a Senior Buyer, Lead Buyer, Category Manager, Purchasing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Lead, or Supply Chain Manager.
