We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Mid Essex. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people, working closely with families and carers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, working collaboratively with families and carers to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed practice, to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with families, carers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed.

Requirements

  • Qualification in a core profession (social work, mental health nursing, psychotherapy, or clinical psychology).
  • Registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, NMC, UKCP, or BABCP).
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health needs, including complex and high-risk presentations.
  • Experience providing evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience supervising and supporting junior staff members.

Desirable Criteria

  • 2-3 years post-qualifying experience.
  • Ability to travel across the Mid Essex area.
