We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Mental Health Services team in Essex. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of our mental health services. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the mental health needs of children and young people, providing evidence-based interventions, and working closely with other professionals to ensure seamless care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the mental health needs of children and young people
- Provide evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practice
- Work closely with other professionals to ensure seamless care and support
- Supervise and support junior staff members
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualification in a core profession (social work, mental health nursing, psychotherapy, or clinical psychology)
- Registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, NMC, UKCP, or BABCP)
- Experience working with children and young people with mental health needs
- Experience of providing evidence-based interventions and managing complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
