Strategic Service Development ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Strategic Service Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our services by developing innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our population.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of strategic service plans aligned with national priorities and local needs.
- Conduct thorough market research, horizon scanning, and stakeholder engagement to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Develop compelling business cases and secure funding approvals for new initiatives and service expansions.
- Collaborate effectively with commissioners, stakeholders, and providers to develop and deliver high-quality services.
- Oversee the implementation of service improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability.
- Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams on strategic planning and service development.

- Proven management level experience in a healthcare or public sector setting.
- Experience of working within large organizations, preferably with a focus on service development and improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying service/quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in business analysis, process mapping, and waste reduction.
- Excellent financial management skills and a track record of budget accountability.
- Experience in change management within complex organizations.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
- Experience managing Mental Health and Learning Disability (MHDLDA) clinical services.
- Background in a commercial environment, with experience securing new business opportunities.
