About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Volunteering Services Manager at Lincolnshire Community Health Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our volunteering services across the trust, ensuring that we provide high-quality experiences for our volunteers and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteering strategy that aligns with the trust's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the recruitment, screening, placement, and retention of volunteers, ensuring that they are properly trained and supported.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop new volunteering opportunities that meet the needs of our patients and the community.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our volunteering services, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that our volunteering services are safe, inclusive, and accessible to all.

Person Specification

  • Registered Health or Social Care Professional
  • Specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices related to volunteering in Health and/or Social Care underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience.
  • Knowledge of voluntary services and relevant legislation to degree or equivalent level plus management knowledge and experience
  • Experience in successful project management with experience of measuring and evaluating impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and influencing skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels including staff, volunteers, members of the public and patient.

  • Previous NHS Experience
  • Evidence of recent continuing professional development in a related field of practice
  • Problem-solving approach, creative and innovative.
  • Knowledge, understanding, involvement in research and development
