Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Volunteering Services Programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting and supporting the effective use of volunteers to improve patient and public engagement, experience, and involvement in Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust.

Main Duties
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteering strategy to increase uptake and ensure safe standards of practice in volunteer management.
  • Lead the development of volunteering recruitment campaigns, publicity information, and supported by the Comms and HR teams.
  • Encourage active interest in voluntary work within the Trust and across Lincolnshire, ensuring opportunities are available for all, reflecting the diverse local community.
  • Develop, implement, review, and update policies and procedures relating to Volunteering Services.
  • Liaise with teams and directorates to ensure volunteering activities are effective and alongside services, teams, and directorates to ensure mentoring and support is in place for volunteers in their roles.

Person Specification
  • Registered Health or Social Care Professional
  • Specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices related to volunteering in Health and/or Social Care underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience.
  • Knowledge of voluntary services and relevant legislation to degree or equivalent level plus management knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in successful project management with experience of measuring and evaluating impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and influencing skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels including staff, volunteers, members of the public, and patients.
