About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Randstad. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Individualized Support: Offer one-on-one or group support to SEN students in the classroom, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Assist teachers with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans, safeguarding the student's well-being and academic progress.
  • Create a Safe Learning Environment: Help students with their learning, ensuring the classroom is a safe and inclusive space for all.
  • Monitor Progress: Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, highlighting areas of strength and improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience Working with SEN Students: Minimum of 3 months experience working with SEN students in the UK.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to adapt to various teaching methods and learning styles.
  • Patience and Empathy: Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' educational needs.
  • Enhanced DBS: Hold an enhanced DBS, with the ability to apply for a new one if necessary.
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: Be eligible to work in the UK, with no sponsorship required.
