About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at HealthcareNZ Limited. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in our residential services in Nelson.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and household management tasks.
  • Support individuals to develop their skills and independence, and to participate in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, and participate in regular reviews and updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual care and support, and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of our services.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a disability support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Full driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training, with a focus on improving skills and knowledge in disability support.
