Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronic & Controls Technician to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex mechatronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechatronic systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechatronic systems into larger projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechatronic systems, using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
  • Proven experience in mechatronic system design, development, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
