About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Attendance Improvement Officer to join our team at Gledhow Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting punctuality and great attendance for all our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all systems and processes used to monitor and record attendance are fully utilised across the school.
  • Supervise and support staff to maintain acceptable levels of absences and lateness.
  • Work in partnership with pupils, parents, colleagues, and external agencies to identify attendance issues and implement support and referral strategies.
Requirements
  • An understanding of attendance monitoring and general office procedures and practice.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills, able to work on your own initiative and within existing teams.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite and school ICT systems.
  • The ability to engage with pupils and their families to create strong links with school to uphold policies that promote student welfare.
