Psychologist for Community Learning Disability Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Community Learning Disability Team in West Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities who have a range of psychological conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities
- Assist with supervision to assistant psychologists and guide doctoral trainee clinical psychologists on placement
- Develop and implement therapy packs, capacity assessments, and other initiatives to support adults with learning disabilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to adults with learning disabilities
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS or HCPC
- Experience of clinical supervision for trainee and assistant clinical psychologists
- Knowledge of legislation, white papers, and implications for clinical practice and professional management in relation to older adults and adults with learning disabilities
- Membership of HCPC
- Clinical experience with adults with learning disability diagnosis, particularly those in community placements
- Experience of assessment and formulation in adults with an LD
- Experience and formal training in at least 2 psychological therapies
- Competent knowledge of neuropsychological testing
- A comprehensive and supported Preceptorship Programme from the Band 7 to Band 8a
- Excellent clinical supervision, support, and opportunities to develop skills and professional development
- A brilliant record of providing additional training opportunities to our clinical psychologists
- A relocation package may be available for the right candidate
