This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Psychologist, working with adults with learning disabilities and older adults. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for adults with learning disabilities and older adults.
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other forms of psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to promote patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Doctoral-level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis.
- Experience of clinical supervision for trainee and assistant clinical psychologists.
- Knowledge of legislation, white papers, and implications for clinical practice and professional management in relation to older adults and adults with learning disabilities.
- Membership of the HCPC.
- Clinical experience with adults with learning disability diagnoses, particularly those in community placements.
- Experience of assessment and formulation in adults with learning disabilities.
- Experience and formal training in at least two psychological therapies.
- Competent knowledge of neuropsychological testing.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our patients.
