Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £43,500 per annum based on experience
Hours of Work: 8-hour Double Day shift (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday

We are excited to collaborate with a leading global manufacturing organization in Beccles that is expanding its operations and looking to add multiple skilled professionals to their workforce.

Role Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of our client's workforce. This position encompasses various maintenance responsibilities, emphasizing autonomous and preventive maintenance initiatives, addressing breakdowns, and assisting with Continuous Improvement (C.I.) projects and refurbishments as necessary. Upholding safety systems and adhering to safe working practices is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to enhance productivity.
  • Provide sustainable preventive maintenance and effective breakdown support for operational machinery.
  • Execute preventive and autonomous maintenance strategies.
  • Respond to equipment failures as directed by the shift team leader.
  • Approach all assignments with a proactive and constructive mindset.
  • Complete tasks in alignment with established work protocols.
  • Ensure all activities are performed efficiently and professionally.
  • Communicate pertinent information to engineering team leaders.
  • Function effectively both as part of a team and independently during planned and emergency breakdown scenarios.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Grade 4/C level or higher.
  • Qualified in at least one core discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) with a solid understanding of a secondary discipline.
  • Experience in at least one core discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) with a strong grasp of a secondary discipline.
  • Background in production equipment maintenance and refurbishment.

Technical Skills and Expertise:

  • Engineering background with mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and refurbishment of production equipment.
