Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client's manufacturing site in Beccles. Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our friendly engineering team.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic crew responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment through proactive maintenance and quick, effective responses to breakdowns. You will collaborate closely with the Shift Engineer to tackle any issues head-on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a program of preventative and autonomous maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve maximum productivity throughout the shift, liaising with the Shift Engineer to resolve problem areas.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns as required by the shift team leader.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with relevant work procedures efficiently and professionally.
  • Communicate all relevant information to the engineering team leaders.
  • Perform any other tasks requested to aid the efficient running of the engineering environment.
  • Ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition in accordance with site standards, always being mindful of health and safety requirements.
  • Work as part of a team and use your own initiative in both planned and emergency breakdown situations.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the organisation.
  • Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.
  • Notify management and/or Human Resources immediately of any breach.

The Multi-Skilled Engineer should possess engineering experience in mechanical/electrical within manufacturing environments. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve objectives and take responsibility for their work and actions. Recognised engineering qualifications are required.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with work scheduled from Monday to Friday, rotating double day shift. Hours are 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00.
