Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Working Hours: 8-hour Double Day Shift (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is currently in search of a motivated and proficient Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a vibrant and expanding organization.

This position encompasses a wide range of maintenance responsibilities, with a primary focus on autonomous and preventive maintenance initiatives, as well as addressing equipment malfunctions, projects, and refurbishments as required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the integrity of machine safety systems and compliance with safe working practices.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance productivity and troubleshoot issues alongside the Shift Engineer.
  • Delivering effective preventative maintenance and a responsive breakdown service for operational machinery.
  • Implementing and adhering to a structured program of preventative and autonomous maintenance.
  • Reacting promptly to breakdowns as directed by the shift team leader.
  • Communicating all relevant information to engineering team leaders.
  • Complying with company safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Notifying management of significant changes to business risks and internal controls.
  • Reporting any breaches in policy or procedure to management and/or Human Resources immediately.

The ideal candidate will possess qualifications in at least one core discipline (Electrical or Mechanical) and have a solid understanding of the other. Experience in the maintenance and refurbishment of production equipment is essential, along with knowledge of the plastics manufacturing sector being advantageous.
