About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Dover. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing one-to-one assistance, and helping to create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning activities that cater to individual needs.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and support the emotional and social development of pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt learning plans.
  • Support students with personal care when needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages pupil engagement.
About You
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young learners.
Qualifications

Relevant experience or qualifications in supporting children with SEN are desirable but not essential. A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required.
