Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Reed. As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance to our business units, operational localities, and specialist service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advice: Offer expert advice on complex HR issues and support managers in implementing HR strategies.
  • HR Strategy Development: Utilize various data sources to interpret complex situations and recommend effective HR solutions.
  • Operational Support: Guide operational managers on HR strategy adjustments to meet business needs.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization, and propose necessary changes.
  • Employee Relations: Handle sensitive issues such as absence, performance management, and organizational change with confidence and tact.
  • Manager Development: Mentor managers to apply fair HR practices, ensuring consistency and best practices are maintained.
  • Financial Management: Oversee expenses and manage an Associate HR Business Partner.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular reports on people management metrics to support strategic planning.
  • Research and Development: Conduct surveys and audits to inform HR strategies and policies.
  • Legislative Compliance: Offer authoritative advice on employment legislation and HR policies.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Navigate distressing situations with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements:

  • Strong HR Knowledge: Proven experience in HR, with a strong understanding of employment legislation and HR policies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex situations and recommend effective HR solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and develop managers to apply fair HR practices.
