Job Title: Assistant Centre Manager

Oxford Innovation Space is seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join our team at the EpiCentre in South Cambridge. As a key member of our centre management team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the sales, community engagement, operational, and financial performance of the centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational: Assist in setting, monitoring, and developing building presentation standards, including cleanliness, health and safety, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act and maintain and deliver the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Manage procurement and contractors, implement standard operating procedures, and maintain the Centre Asset register & Contract Database.
  • Oversee maintenance and manage assets, stock, and inventory, and set up and maintain in-house IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and Money Laundering Regulations, and maintain records for ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001.
Financial:
  • Support financial management, including invoicing and debt management, and assist in budget planning and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile invoices for audit compliance and maintain accurate financial records.
Team Development:
  • Assist with team management and recruitment, and coach the centre management team to ensure high customer service standards.
Sales and Marketing:
  • Promote available space and generate revenue, identify additional revenue opportunities, and promote Oxford Innovation Space's services.
  • Develop a community of entrepreneurs, maintain awareness of clients' business performance, and assist in event preparation and marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in operational running of a similar asset, management skills to lead a team in a service environment, and negotiation skills.
  • Personal Competencies: attention to detail, excellent administrative, communication, and organisational skills, self-motivated and proactive, client and customer service-focused, ability to work under pressure and multitask, team player and leader, and IT literate.
