About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Train Crew Diagram Manager to join our Strategic Development team at Northern Trains Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver resource plans to ensure efficient and effective train services across the North of England.
  • Produce all traincrew diagrams for all Northern services to support a robust and economic resource plan.
  • Assist with staff consultation of links and rosters, as well as the production of road vehicle transport plans.
  • Review operational incidents and rectifications from a train planning perspective.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Produce and develop WTT Train Crew & Special Traffic Train Crew diagrams within laid down safety criteria and deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents for staff consultation for WTT alterations and schemes.
  • Evaluate and assess implications of diagram changes at pre-planning stage.
  • Collaborate with Depot Management Teams and Resource Planning Team to ensure delivery of diagrams.
  • Produce and deliver Schedule Cards from the Voyager plan system.
  • Produce the road transport vehicle plan to enhance Northern's performance and create cost efficiencies.
  • Manage and assess diagrams to ensure adequate time built into the process.
  • Investigate and review operational incidents and their rectification.
