About the Role:

  • We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Forklift Driver to work in our warehouse, starting immediately on a temporary basis with a chance to go permanent for the right candidate.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous counterbalance forklift experience and hold a valid counterbalance forklift license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse/Good In:
    • To inspect all products upon delivery for quality, quantity, date, and temperature.
    • To ensure products are stored in the correct warehouse or departmental location.
    • To maintain accurate stock levels, rotate stock, and conduct weekly stock counts.
    • To perform safety checks before using the forklift to ensure it is safe for operation.
  • Bond Store:
    • To inspect all products prior to packing.
    • To pack carts to the required standard in accordance with passenger numbers.
    • To maintain accurate stock levels and rotate stock to maximize shelf life.
    • To record activities, report unsanitary practices, and unsafe conditions.
    • To adhere to food safety, health, and safety, company rules, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Operational awareness, understanding of HACCP, COSHH, DDA, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, and DFT requirements.
  • Self-motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of this role, we will be undertaking a full five-year reference history and applying for a Basic DBS, Criminal record check, and GSAT before starting this position. Working Hours:

The working hours are 06:00 to 14:30, working on a 4 on 2 off sliding rota.
