Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Schools Pipe and Drums Trust. As the organisation's ambassador, you will be responsible for driving our mission to raise attainment and broaden achievement amongst Scotland's state school pupils, while safeguarding Scotland's musical traditions.

The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a passion for working with young people, and a proven track record of developing innovative programmes and partnerships. You will be responsible for overseeing our national instrument lending scheme, working with partners to provide professional development for piping and drumming instructors, and co-creating new projects to reach even more young people.

We are looking for a driven individual who is committed to championing our work and engaging with communities and stakeholders to reach parts of the country where we have yet to make an impression. If you are passionate about improving the life chances of young people and have experience of hands-on project development and change-making, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of our strategic plan
  • Oversee the delivery of our national instrument lending scheme
  • Work with partners to provide professional development for piping and drumming instructors
  • Co-create new projects to reach even more young people
  • Champion our work and engage with communities and stakeholders
