About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repairs Service Manager to join our team at settle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of trade operatives and support staff to deliver repairs and maintenance services
  • Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the correct balance between reactive and planned maintenance
  • Diagnose and remediate building defects, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including reports and data analysis
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all colleagues, adhering to health and safety regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing repairs functions in social housing, contractor, or client-side environments
  • Strong budget management skills, with experience of managing large budgets and ensuring income and expenditure are in line with budget estimates
  • Technical knowledge of building maintenance and repair, including reactive repairs
  • Full UK clean driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Relevant technical qualification, such as HND, HNC, or comparable qualification in a related subject
