Key Responsibilities- Lead and motivate a diverse team of trade operatives and support staff to deliver repairs and maintenance services
- Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the correct balance between reactive and planned maintenance
- Diagnose and remediate building defects, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and statutory requirements
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including reports and data analysis
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all colleagues, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Proven experience in managing repairs functions in social housing, contractor, or client-side environments
- Strong budget management skills, with experience of managing large budgets and ensuring income and expenditure are in line with budget estimates
- Technical knowledge of building maintenance and repair, including reactive repairs
- Full UK clean driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Relevant technical qualification, such as HND, HNC, or comparable qualification in a related subject
- Competitive annual salary: £57,378 per annum
