Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional development of our students, aged 11-19, in a SEN school based in Totnes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Inspiring Curriculum: Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that enables all students to make good progress, enjoy, and achieve.
- Encourage Student Participation: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation in all lessons and school-related activities.
- Teach Clear and High-Quality Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that support students to make good or outstanding progress and embed key concepts in their long-term memory.
- Set Clear Targets: Establish clear targets for students' learning, building on prior attainment and considering each student as an individual.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold a recognized teaching qualification, such as QTS/QTLS/PGCE.
- Teaching Experience: Have experience within an SEN setting, with the ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
- Driving and Vehicle: Be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle, with parking available on site.
- Additional Skills: Having the ability to teach another subject is an advantage.
