About the Role

We are currently recruiting Temporary Sales Assistants to join our team at Smyths Toys St. Helens. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service, helping your team achieve daily targets, and ensuring the store is well stocked and well presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, answering their queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Help your team achieve daily targets by working collaboratively and efficiently to meet sales and customer service goals.
  • Ensure the store is well stocked and well presented at all times, maintaining a high level of visual merchandising and store standards.
  • Work as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience is highly desirable, particularly in areas such as outdoor, nursery, gaming, and backdoor/warehouse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of retail systems.

What We Offer

  • A competitive hourly rate, with under 21 pay scale at £9.00 and 21+ pay scale at £11.70.
