Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Operations Manager to lead our efforts in developing and implementing a comprehensive Estates Strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring our facilities are sustainable and fit for future use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a dedicated team of professionals, including surveyors, engineers, and facility managers, responsible for maintaining our network of community fire stations and training facilities.
  • Manage operations from our central office while ensuring all properties are well-maintained and meet the needs of users across the region.
  • Drive the development of our estates strategy with a strong emphasis on sustainability and achieving carbon neutrality.
  • Utilize your expertise in budget management to deliver cost-effective solutions and foster innovation in our operational practices.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing reports to senior management on progress and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and manage grant funding applications effectively.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze details effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or extensive experience in estates and project management within both public and private sectors.
  • A proven history of successfully delivering complex construction projects in operational settings, along with a solid understanding of statutory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of budget oversight, construction contracts, and facilities management, as well as experience managing diverse consultant teams.
  • A valid driving license and the willingness to conduct site assessments as needed.
