About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Consultant to join our Adult Mental Health team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and carers.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including consultants, therapists, and social workers, to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including GPs, community services, and voluntary sector organizations.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in adult mental health.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as a Master's degree in mental health nursing or a related field.
  • Experience of clinical leadership and management, including team leadership and supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of national and local guidelines, policies, and procedures related to adult mental health care.
