Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restructuring Advisory Associate to join our team at RSM. As a key member of our National Members Voluntary Liquidation team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assignment Delivery
    • Complete assignments in accordance with our standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations.
    • Confirm arrangements with clients, companies, or appointers, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with other team members to plan and execute assignments.
    • Manage appropriate cases as required, in accordance with our standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Client Support
    • Provide training and support to junior staff within the team.
    • Assist with the completion of and seeking approval of engagement letters and ancillary documents.
    • Ensure assigned diary lines are completed within the deadline.
    • Input data onto our internal systems, IPS and Virtual Cabinet.
    • General case administration, including raising bills.
  • Business Development
    • Develop solutions alongside Partners/Directors and other RSM staff.
    • Attend initial meetings on site with clients and other RA staff.
    • Communicate information required from clients.
    • Analyse and challenge information received from clients, or check back to source documentation.
    • Provide practical advice to clients on orderly wind-down scenarios.
  • Client Onboarding
    • Assist with client take-on procedures.
    • Timely completion of CEAP.
  • Financial Management
    • Ensure that the job is completed within budget.
    • Discuss all material points arising with the assignment partner and client or appointer as these arise.
  • Client Liaison
    • Liaise with shareholders, directors, and other interested parties throughout any assignment.
    • Practise the principles of excellent client service at all times.
  • Departmental Collaboration
    • Liaise with all other departments.
  • Profitability and Recoverability
    • Monitor the profitability and recoverability of work in progress.
    • Billing clients on a timely basis.
  • Marketing and Training
    • Assist in marketing activities as required/available.
    • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
  • Health and Safety
    • Maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm.
    • Report any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative.
Personal and Professional Qualities
  • Previous Experience
    • Previous experience in client handling.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency in a similar role and CPI qualified would be an advantage.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Proven communication skills due to internal and external client contact.
    • Commitment to high-quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
    • Interest in promoting the national service line both internally and externally.
