An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Senior Clinical Nurse Leader position within our esteemed organization. This role will collaborate closely with the Clinical Management team to ensure the effective execution of our strategic objectives, operational planning, and financial performance within the nursing division.
Main Responsibilities
We seek dynamic and credible leaders who can inspire and guide teams to deliver outstanding patient care while optimizing available resources. Candidates should possess a solid history of accomplishments in leadership roles, along with experience in managing substantial teams and budgets. A results-oriented mindset, experience in leading complex transformation initiatives, and a proven ability to enhance service delivery and staff performance are essential.
This position is pivotal in engaging clinical managers within a specialized environment to collaboratively develop annual business plans, ensuring adequate capacity and capability to meet both local and national healthcare priorities. The role will also involve supporting the organization in advancing research and private care initiatives.
The Senior Clinical Nurse Leader will also serve as a deputy to the Clinical Director when necessary.
Detailed Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The nursing division encompasses several specialized units:
Unit 1: Breast, Plastics, Lung, Acute Oncology Service, and associated medical day units and home care services. Unit 2: Haematology, Head & Neck, Neuro-oncology, and services for Children & Young People. Unit 3: Gastrointestinal, Gynaecology, and Urology services.The post holder will work alongside the existing Senior Clinical Nurse Leader and will be responsible for Unit 1, along with leading strategic initiatives across the division.

Recognized management qualification, such as a Master's degree, or equivalent experience. Proven experience with NHS financial processes and systems. Project management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.Experience

Evidence of effective leadership and team-building capabilities. Experience in preparing and presenting to senior management. Familiarity with managing complex change initiatives.
