Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Waste and Resource Management (WRM) team, aligning goals and objectives with Tetra Tech's growth strategy.
  • Oversee the planning, scoping, and execution of WRM projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans to facilitate efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate team and project activities, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the WRM team in conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments, including data collection, analysis, and impact prediction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, methodologies, and regulatory requirements, using this knowledge to inform the technical direction of the WRM team.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Environmental Consultancy, preferably in WRM, with a track record of successfully managing a diversity of projects across sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines at local and national levels, with international knowledge an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent project management abilities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
