Position Overview: Electric Vehicle Programme Lead

Location: Hybrid working available

As the Electric Vehicle Programme Lead, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of the company's electric vehicle operations. Reporting directly to the EV Technical Manager, your responsibilities will encompass supporting the implementation team throughout the project lifecycle, from initial site planning to final operational handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all EV electrical design inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain an organized overview of project actions to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Update project trackers and folders, replacing outdated design revisions and communicating updates to relevant parties.
  • Gather responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors to initiate the pre-construction design phase.
  • Instruct, coordinate, and evaluate designs submitted by contractors, ensuring compliance with the latest site plans and feasibility.
  • Oversee the contractor tendering and allocation process for earthing studies and installations.
  • Manage procurement and inventory of packaged substations, including production schedules and invoicing.
  • Facilitate the tendering process for Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) and manage asset recovery post-energisation.
  • Accurately create and maintain purchase orders for proper asset and cost allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, legal teams, and external contractors to integrate power connection activities within project timelines, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Support the development and enhancement of all operational processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the industry is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a dynamic environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for producing clear and high-quality documentation.
  • Self-driven with strong time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
