Position Overview: Electric Vehicle Program Manager

Location: Hybrid working available

We invite you to become part of this innovative organization as the Electric Vehicle Program Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the effective management of the company's electric vehicle operations. Reporting directly to the EV Technical Manager, you will assist the entire implementation team, ensuring seamless administrative support from project inception through to completion and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for EV electrical design inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date overview of project actions to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Regularly update project trackers and folders, replacing outdated design revisions and communicating changes to all relevant parties.
  • Gather responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors to initiate the pre-construction design phase.
  • Instruct, coordinate, and evaluate designs submitted by contractors, ensuring feasibility and compliance with the latest site plans.
  • Oversee the contractor tendering and allocation process for earthing studies and installations.
  • Manage procurement and inventory of packaged substations, including production schedules, site assignments, and invoicing.
  • Facilitate the tendering and awarding of Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) and manage asset value recovery post-energisation.
  • Accurately create and maintain purchase orders to ensure proper asset and cost allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, legal teams, and external contractors to integrate power connection activities within project timelines, while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of all operational processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the industry is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a dynamic environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to produce clear, concise, and high-quality work.
  • Self-driven with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
