Job Title: Lead Junior Rowing Coach

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Rowing Coach to lead our Junior Rowing team at Barn Elms Boathouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing the skills of our junior athletes, with a focus on competitive rowing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and develop the skills of junior athletes in competitive rowing
  • Establish a clear 3-year strategy for the squad and regularly review progress towards identified targets
  • Deliver quality sessions following the GB Rowing Team technical model
  • Coach on the year 9+ junior community sessions
  • Establish a development pathway for rowers to move into the competitive squad
  • Organise and manage training camps
  • Guide rowers through the GB trials process
  • Maintain high levels of communication with parents, athletes, and the coaching staff
  • Arrange entry to regattas and competitions
Requirements
  • Experience in competitive rowing coaching
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of athletes and staff
  • Knowledge of the GB Rowing Team technical model
