Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Class Teacher to join our supportive Special School in Havering. This full-time role offers a temporary to permanent contract, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with a range of special educational needs.

About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote student well-being and achievement.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEND teaching methods and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
