KS2 SEN Teacher Job Description

A reputable Academy in Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate KS2 SEN Teacher to join their vibrant team for a supply position, commencing immediately. Working with Step Teachers, this presents an exciting opportunity for a KS2 SEN Teacher who is keen to be part of a team that prioritizes holistic development and the nurturing of life and social skills, aiming to bring out the best in all students and provide them with opportunities to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of KS2 students.
  • Maintain a well-organized, tidy, and considerate classroom environment that promotes a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, inspiring good behaviour and a passion for learning.
  • Cooperate with and support colleagues and additional classroom staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
  • Accurately assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback that promotes growth and development.
  • Comply with and implement the school's policies and take part in their supportive educational ethos.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as an KS2 SEN Teacher.
  • A relevant degree is desirable.
  • Experience with KS2 curriculum.
  • SEN experience is essential.
