Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a Special School in Havering. As a Generalist Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across various subjects, tailored to meet the needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects for students with SEMH needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, helping them develop social and emotional skills.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic student support.
  • Contribute to the school's initiatives aimed at promoting student well-being and achievement.
Requirements:
  • Experience teaching students with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH teaching strategies and approaches to behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
