Job Title: Children's Residential Care Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Residential Care Team Leader to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our children and young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare and a proven track record of leadership and management. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our children and young people. You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the care home, including the management of staff rotas, budgets, and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our children and young people.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the care home, including the management of staff rotas, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our children and young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with other members of the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Ensure that all care staff are trained and equipped to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of care and support provided.
  • Ensure that all care staff are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in childcare, including experience of working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including experience of leading a team of care staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including collaboration with other members of the care team.
